New Pot

“New Pot” captures the moment just before walking away from an environment that no longer supports growth and stepping toward something new. Inspired by my personal journey, the piece acknowledges the discomfort that comes with outgrowing what has always felt familiar. I had to outgrow old habits, mindsets, and environments.

A vase is meant to display the beauty of flowers, not to nurture their growth. This symbolizes the immature mindset I once held—prioritizing performance and appearance over genuine personal development. The figure represents a flower, poised yet uneasy, barely fitting atop the blue vase. She no longer belongs there and must place her roots in soil where growth is possible.

Now, she sits within the purple space, suspended in the transition between the old and the new. The lower portion of the red pot behind her hints at the environment she is moving toward. To enter a space designed for growth, she must rise and leave the old vase—an object that was never meant to hold her true purpose.
